Falling in love with someone is one of the most exciting, exhilarating, rewarding and scariest things you may ever do.  The meaning of love is very subjective. But anyone who has been in love will tell you that it’s the best feeling ever.  While everyone experiences love differently, there are common themes that all lovers experience.

1. You think about them all the time

Your lover will be the first person you think about when you wake up and the last person you think about before you go to sleep.

When something good happens to you, this is the first person you want to tell, and when something bad happens to you, you look to this person for support.

2. You’re not afraid to be your true self around them

When you’re with your lover, you feel the freedom to truly be yourself.  You’re not afraid to show your weird side and you even feel comfortable showing them your not so great side.

Love is the ability to know and accept someone’s faults.

3. Your love is your best friend

I believe this to be true in all love relationships.  Your lover becomes your “partner in crime.”  You share your deepest thoughts and feelings.

You truly enjoy being together.  When you’re with your love you feel like the two of you could take on the world!

4. You strive to become a better person

Nobody is perfect.  We all have room for improvement.  When you’re in love with someone, you want to be the best version of yourself you can be.

You want to work on your imperfections.

5. You think long-term

When you’re in love, it’s impossible to think about your future without your lover in it.  You will think and plan long-term about how to build a life with your love.
